Welcome to St Margaret of Scotland Catholic Primary School’s website. We hope that you will find it very useful.
At St. Margaret’s, we strive to live the Catholic ethos and mission of our school. Together we aim to provide the best education for all our children, in every area of the curriculum. We believe that our school provides the experience of a living, growing Christian environment for all members of our community, with Christ firmly at the centre of everything we do.
We are a large, purposeful, friendly, welcoming, calm, personal, and happy school. Although a big school, we pride ourselves on ensuring that everyone’s wellbeing is central to our ethos and ensure that everybody is treated as an individual.
The sense of belonging to an ambitious, supportive community is often commented on by children, parents and staff alike. Visitors to the school comment on what a positive, inclusive, caring and happy atmosphere we have created.
No matter what their background or starting points, at St Margaret’s, children learn how to be confident, be excited by learning, challenge and success, to find their voice, to think and be thoughtful and learn how to be responsible and to take responsibility. Throughout, and on leaving St Margaret’s, we want our children to know and believe that the opportunities life has to offer, are there for them to take.
The school recognises children as individuals and our bespoke curriculum and extra-curricular opportunities offer all children the chance to explore the world of learning and find their own passions and interests alongside academic skills.
St Margaret’s is a dynamic, diverse and multicultural community and we are immensely proud of all we achieve. We work together with children, parents, governors, staff and the wider community in partnership with shared goals and ambition, with integrity, with creativity, passion and dedication.
