Mini Vinnies – Spreading Christmas Cheer

Wednesday 18th December 2024

On Wednesday, our fantastic Mini Vinnies were out in our local community once again. This time they were delivering Christmas cards and spreading Christmas cheer to our neighbours.

It was lovely to be able to wish people a Merry Christmas and for them to know that everyone at St Margarets is thinking of them at this festive time. We were also lucky enough to bump into our lovely Community Police Officer and let her know how much we appreciate the hard work she does for our community.

Anti Bullying Week

Friday 15th November 2024

As part of our Anti Bullying Week, our wonderful Mini Vinnies have been hard at work during breaktimes and lunchtimes spreading kindness across our school. The Mini Vinnies have been a support for any child in need, a helping hand for our younger children, or just someone to play with during our breaktimes.

Well done to all the Mini Vinnies – what a fantastic job you have done!

GREEN-FINGERED MINI VINNIES

As part of the National Community Garden Week, the Mini Vinnies have been hard at work tidying our outside areas around the school.

Trowels in hand, they have rejuvenated our outdoor garden by removing all the weeds and giving it a general tidy up. The next step is to plant some new flowers and even grow our own vegetables!

Mini Vinnies are continually reminding us of the teachings of Pope Francis, that we should all continually be looking after Gods creation.

Our Mini Vinnies were commissioned by Fr Eustace and have lots of ides to develop Catholic Social Teaching in our school. Watch this space.........
